Need For Speed Most Wanted Vs. Forza Horizon - Features - www.GameInformer.com
Two games are at the starting line, set to race off into the open frontier. We take a look at Criterion's Need for Speed Most Wanted and Playground Games' Forza Horizon and size up these two contenders.
Back in 2010, two racing games, Black Rock Studio's Split/Second and Bizarre Creations' Blur, went head-to-head on store shelves. Although the titles weren't completely similar, they defined the racing genre at the moment. This October, Forza Horizon (above) and Need for Speed Most Wanted will go up against each other and present their own visions of open-world racing.
Coming off of E3, where I got a chance to see and get some hands-on time with both games, I thought it would be useful to compare them in a few key categories. Of course, a lot of development time remains before October and I don't know every detail about either title, but this might give you a better look at both and help you determine if one is more up your alley.

Most Wanted is all about the intense action of a high-speed pursuit. Check out the video to see what can happen when a player takes on the best of Fairhaven City in a pursuit that escalates off the scale. Find out how to shake cop SUVs and SWAT trucks and take in some newly-revealed locations.
Like the game, this video's high-speed and non-stop, so we thought it might be cool to break out some of the action and add a little commentary.
It starts with a player screeching up to parked Nissan GT-R outside a gas station and switching from a heavily damaged Boss 302. The GT-R’s one of our all-time favorite cars and a Need for Speed staple – fast, solid, high-tech. We love it, you love it: of course it's in the game.

'Angry Birds' slings onto Facebook
(CNN) -- We're going to feel a little guilty if this news gets you fired. But you can now play "Angry Birds" on Facebook.
Rovio's ridiculously addictive mobile game, which has been downloaded more than 500 million times on multiple platforms since debuting on the iPhone in 2009, hit Facebook on Tuesday.
While the company had leaked out news that the merger of the game's millions of fans and Facebook's hundreds of millions of users was coming, a Facebook "launch event" was scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday. But players, including, presumably, the 15 million who were already fans of the game on Facebook, can start slingshotting their feathered friends now.
In addition to allowing players to pay for special in-game tools, such as more powerful birds, the Facebook version of "Angry Birds" also adds a social-gaming element. Besides posting their scores to their News Feed, players can send in-game gifts to friends and get special rewards for earning some of the game's highest scores.
